From the archives: Bowden’s historic cars at the Nikon SuperGP

Share
The Nikon SuperGP on the Gold Coast had a rough ride in 2009 after the Indycars pulled out of the event, the replacement category A1GP went bust and the original title sponsor, Nitro Energy Drinks also ran out of money.

The V8 Supercars came the main show and Bowden’s Own also came to the show preparing and demonstrating some classic Australian motorsport machinery.

Included in the show was Jim Richard’s 1985 BMW 635, Peter Brock’s 1979 HDT Torana, Dick Johnson’s 1984 Greens Tuff Falcon, Kevin Bartlet’s 1977 Camaro, along with Sierras, Falcons and more.

It was a great trip to the past and a great feat for the Bowden’s Own crew to get the cars ready for the event.
