From the archives: 2009 V8 Supercars from the Gold Coast

2009 saw a disaster for the Gold Coast event that had hosted the Champ Cars and Indycars in past years.  The withdrawal of the Americans and the title sponsor saw A1GP and Nitro Energy Drink given the gigs.  This went horribly wrong and V8 Supercars came in at the last minute with Nikon to save the day.

This turned into a god-send for the Championship which has now gone onto big things at the track.  Below, however are some memories of the 2009 events.
