Over the weekend RacerViews’ Sam Tickell was at Queensland Raceway for the Shannons Insurance 2 Days of Thunder.

The weekend’s action featured both racing and regularity trials for touring cars; trans am; sports sedans; Ford Cobras and GT40s; a show and shine; and the headliner – Australian racing legend Jim Richards, raced his  spectacular 360-ci 1972 Javelin against a road going version – in what was a closely fought (handicap) event.

Our second gallery is that of the the regularity and trials – here we see a wide variety of cars in action from muscle cars to sportscars and historic machines.
