Wayne Maxwell on his way to a podium

In our continuing QBE Australian Superbike Championship coverage from Queensland Raceway, we catch up with Suzuki’s Wayne Maxwell.

Maxwell scored a pair of second places over the weekend – after starting second on the grid, just being pipped by Glenn Allerton.  In the races, Maxwell was on the pace and involved in massive on track battles, losing out by only 0.4 and 0.5 of a second in each of the races.

After a strong start to the season a the non-championship round at Phillip Island, he scored a run of podiums at the first point scoring round at Tasmania.   He sits 14 points behind Allerton in the Championship heading into the Sydney Motorsports Park double header.
