It was another commanding performance by Evans, but the field is closing in, hoping to prevent him from going 11 in a row

Eli Evans with co-driver Glenn Western continue to dominate the ECB Australian Rally Championship after another stellar performance at the International Rally of Queensland.

Evans, driving a Honda Jazz took his 10th consecutive victory in the ARC.  He was involved in a massive battle with Renault’s Scott Pedder, trading fastest stage times, taking their two-wheel drive cars to stage times that were faster than the four-wheel drive cars of a couple of years ago.  Evans was able to pull out a small lead but the final results will show a comfortable victory after Pedder went off the road on the second to last stage.  It could have all been different through as Evans hit the barrier in the second corner of the first spectator super-special, damaging the suspension in the Honda.

The next ARC round is at Coffs-Coast in support of the WRC round.  For more information on the ARC, visit their website.
