We are at Queensland Raceway this weekend for the Shannons Nationals and here we were able to catch up with Ben Gersekowski after his race 1 winning performance in the Australian Formula 3 Championship.
It was an exciting race for Ben who after qualifying second made a great start taking the lead into turn one after a great start.
He would battle Simon Hodge all race with a great ding-dong battle between the McDonalds Gilmour Dallara and Hodge’s Mygale.
The two cars were never separated by more than a couple of car lengths and the winning margin was just 0.4 seconds.
It was the second win of Ben’s career and his first at home. Here we talk about the race and that winning (at home) feeling.
