Queensland’s Ben Foessel successfully defended his Challenge Class Title in the Australian GT Championship this year.  The Motor School Porsche driver fended off Matt Kingsley and Brenden Cook for class honours and now looks to where he can develop his career in new cars and different classes.

He took out the Challenge round wins in Sandown, Townsville, Phillip Island and New Zealand and took a second place at Sandown (2) and a third at Sydney.  This was backed up with a class win at the Highlands 101 – the endurance event that followed the final round of the Australian GT Championship.

Foessel has had a quick accession in his career, taking to hill climbs and state rounds in only 2012.  In 2013 he took out his first Challenge class title and that was defended in 2014.  For the future he is looking at moving up the ranks, perhaps to a new car in a different category.

In this interview we talk about his 2014 season and what is on the horizon for the future.
