Last month we found out about the Extreme Rallycross Championship that is about to hit Australia, we caught the final test at Lakeside Park.

The OMSE Superlite cars are bespoke cars built for purpose. They fly and land with grace and a surprising level of comfort for those inside the car

There has been a lot of corporate support for the Extreme Rallycross with Sidchrome, Hankook, ReplayXD and Gloryfy Unbreakable all throwing their support behind the series.

Alister McRae is the top signing for the series and it has attracted interest from others. Macaulay Jones was at Lakeside Park to sample the OMSE Superlite car

There is a small but dedicated team that has been put together for the series. Former Irish Rallycross Champion and European Rallycross front runner, Michael Coyne has been enlisted as key member of the team

The Suzuki Swift Championship has moved from tarmac to Rallycross. There were six cars at the test day and they should provide great entertainment as a support series.

There is a 4WD support series for the Extreme Rallycross Series that will see the likes of Subaru Imprezas and Mitsubishi Evos race against each other.
