6 Why Rallycross didn’t work in Australia

There was a lot of hope and enthusiasm for Rallycross in Australia but after a lot of fanfare, it didn’t work. We did a story heralding its arrival so we did one looking at its demise, which proved popular.

5 Ott Tanak aiming for a big WRC future

The Estonian is a popular figure in the paddock and for a while we were big in Estonia.  We had a chat to Tanak before Rally Australia, during a time where his WRC future was in doubt.  Since then he has revealed that he will continue in the WRC in a DMACK M-Sport Fiesta. He is one of the most popular sports people in Estonia which is reflected here.

4 Ant West – the challenge and enjoyment of MotoGP

The divisive Australian had been running in the Moto2 class but was unceremoniously dropped from the squad before getting picked up for an injured Karel Abraham.  It was a great tell all interview from Leonard Smith and gave a great insight to the trials in the motorcycle paddock.

3 ASBK – reflecting on a new era of Australian motorcycle racing

2014 was a terrible year for the ASBK and in 2015 it was reborn – a new business model, more ownership by the bike clubs.  While it didn’t end the internal motorcycle war here in Australia, it showed a great new future for the National Championship – something that was of interest early in the year

2 ASBK – we talk to Chas Hern about his EBR choice

EBR was certainly a crowd favourite and Chas Hern managed to get an ASBK podium at Morgan Park. It was popular amongst the EBR pages, then sadly, a few weeks later the brand went under, weighed down by huge debts – a massive shame for the US bike industry.

1 Alister McRae: “…there was always sibling rivalry”

This story came through as a late runner only being published just before Christmas but it was stupidly popular – showing that the McRae name is well regarded around the world and that Alister is a well loved personality and popular in his own right. A worthy most popular post winner for 2015…
