Ant West – World SSP “My only objective is to get there and win the race! I would like to think I could do the full season but, with no real support from a factory or any other sponsors other than X50Green Tea, it looks limited to Australia for now. I’m looking for a full-time ride for 2016, but so far I don’t have one.”

Josh Hook I will not be racing this weekend due to dislocated shoulder I sustained in official Wsbk test on Tuesday. Further examination next week hoping to be fit for Thailand round 2. Sorry to all my sponsors and fans I can’t race here at home, hoping for a speedy recovery thanks for your support. ‪#‎JH16‬

Davide Giugliano “In general, I’m pretty happy about these tests. Especially, about the competitiveness shown this morning, when the climate conditions were similar to those that we should find during the race week-end. We just lack a bit of grip in the center of the corner. Unfortunately, I could not do a long-run in the afternoon because of the weather. The extreme heat does not suit a flowing riding style such as mine, and there were so many crashes and red flags that I preferred not take risks. Still, I managed to do 22 laps on the same tyre with a competitive pace.”

Chaz Davies “In the morning I focused on getting back the feeling and confidence on the bike after crashing out towards the end of yesterday’s session. I also did a race simulation, whose results were quite good. Our gap from the leaders has been reduced, and honestly I think I could have pushed more, both myself and the Panigale R. In the afternoon it was impossible to improve the lap times, as the temperature went through the roof, but today the general goal was simply to verify the competitiveness of our package without crashing, so I feel confident ahead of the race week-end.”

Ernesto Marinelli, SBK Project Director “These last two days of tests have been really important. Phillip Island is a peculiar track and it’s never easy to find a setup that allows the tyre to safely make the difference over the race distance. Davide, Chaz and their crews worked well, we’re still missing something in terms of a flying lap, but we’ve found a setup that allows us to be very consistent. I’d say that we laid a solid foundation for the upcoming race weekend. It won’t be easy and we’ll have to adapt to weather conditions, which can be pretty erratic as today has shown. Still, we’re confident we can do a good job, and we enthusiastically await the 2016 season opener.”

Josh Hook will ride alongside Swiss rider Dominic Schmitter at Grillini Kawasaki, across a number of circuits which were familiar to him during his Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup campaigns in 2009 and 2010.

Glenn Scott “I am very excited to sign with Team Lorini as they have an extremely professional outfit and are a very hard working team. I have a very good feeling about my year ahead and this is a really positive step forward in my career. Lorini Honda have been racing and competing on the world stage for many years. They have a wealth of knowledge in the Super Sport class and I feel that this will be a massive boost for my 2016 campaign. I will be lucky enough to have a team mate this season which I think will be a great advantage as I have never had one in the past, this will help with the development of the bike and my riding throughout the season”.

Josh Brookes “The bike has everything it needs to be one of the most competitive machines on the track. But just having all the parts doesn’t make it a perfectly tuned tool. There’s a lot of work to be done but I think we’ve got the best personnel in the team to do it the best we can. The challenge is a bit bigger but hopefully the rewards are a bit bigger too!”

Kyle Smith “I am delighted to be racing for CIA Landlords Insurance Honda in the 2016 World Supersport Championship. I signed with the team and then finished this season with a win, which sets me up for a great winter. I can’t wait to get my first ride on the CIA Landlords Insurance Honda and the 2016 season starts now for me – I want to be challenging for the title.”

PJ Jacobson Good two days of testing. We learned a lot and ready for the @worldsbk weekend. Feeling really confident and ready to go now.

Alex Phillis Like all riders, I’ve always wanted to compete at a world championship level, and I want to thank Team Lorini for giving me the chance to compete at Phillip Island. It’s an experienced team and they know how to get the job done, and Raffaele (De Rosa) was very competitive on the Honda in 2014.” “I’ll start testing the CBR600RR at Phillip Island today. I’ll obviously be playing catch-up with the rest of the pack but I’ll just have to put that in the back of my mind and get down to business. “At least I know the circuit well, and I’m looking forward to riding at Phillip Island again after a two-year absence.”

Alex Phillis At Phillip Island, Alex will be joined by fellow class debutantes Glenn Scott, Aiden Wagner and Sam Lambert in the world supersport line-up. All will be at the track from today (Monday Feb 16) for the final pre-season two-day test. The recently turned 21-year-old Phillis will replace Alessandro Nocco in the Team Lorini squad, riding a Honda CBR600RR alongside experienced Italian and three-time 250 GP winner Roberto Rolfo. The Italian team, based in Frosinone – a region not far from Rome – is owned and run by Livio Lorini.
