The first 12 hours of this year’s 24 Hours of Daytona are in the books and so far, it has been a clean race. There have been a few punctures throughout the field including a sudden and spectacular blow-out for a BMW on the banking.  Alonso had briefly led the race during the pitstop cycles but lost 23 laps due to a brake failure. The Acuras and Cadillacs are battling at the front with Ford leading GTLM and the Land Audi losing the lead with a controversial penalty…
