Lines through Lukey – a gallery of WorldSBK through an iconic corner

Share

It is one of the most iconic corners in motorcycle racing – turn 9 at Phillip Island, Lukey Heights. According to Phillip Island, it is “Testing the riders’ courage to its limits, Lukey’s long left-hander leads to a blind crest, followed by a tricky downhill run and a challenging hairpin before the riders lean in to Turn 11.”

For photographers it lets you photograph bikes at their best with a background of Golden Cypress or a sponsor hording. There are few better places to watch bikes for the select few that get the opportunity.

For Leonard Smith, he was there and he again delivers a range of great photos from that corner. We hope you enjoy.
