As the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) kicks off its 2025 campaign, Robert Kubica is back in the spotlight, once again reminding us why he remains an influential figure in the motorsport realm. Competing with AF Corse behind the wheel of the No. 83 Ferrari 499P Hypercar, Kubica has had a strong season.

Alongside team-mates Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson, Kubica started the year with a solid second-place finish at the Qatar 1812km, marking a 1-2-3 sweep for Ferrari. The race showcased not only the technical prowess of the team but also Kubica’s talent as he pushed the limits during the final stint. With only 2.348 seconds separating him from the leading Ferrari, his ability to fend off the strong challenge from Alessandro Pier Guidi in the No. 51 car highlighted his capacity to thrive under pressure.

In the 2025 6 Hours of Imola, Robert Kubica delivered an impressive performance in the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P, finishing fourth overall alongside teammates Ye and Hanson. Starting from the second position, Kubica took the opening stint and maintained a consistent pace, keeping the car near the front during the race. The event featured multiple safety car periods that influenced strategy and shuffled positions throughout the field. Despite a strong showing, the #83 Ferrari finished 20 seconds behind the winning #51 Ferrari, which had led from pole position. The team stayed competitive for a podium finish but ultimately missed out, ending just outside the top three. This fourth-place result allowed Kubica and his co-drivers to remain in a solid second place in the drivers’ championship standings after two rounds. Overall, it was a strategic race that showcased Kubica’s racing skills and the team’s capability.

Now the Pole has taken second in qualifying for Spa, and it looks like it would be a Ferrari domination…
