We were at Philip Island on the weekend for the World Superbike Championship and we caught up with race 1 winner, Eugene Laverty.

Laverty, now with Suzuki raced a stunning WSBK race, overcoming the factory Ducati and Aprilia runners to end Suzuki’s winless streak that ran to 94 races.

In the second race, he was running at the front until his engine expired in spectacular fashion, ending the race some seven laps early.

In this interview, we talk about the racing, returning to Suzuki and his chances for the 2014 season.
