A look at what happens in Service at the Janner Rallye

We were at the FIA ERC Janner Rallye to kick of the European Rally season.  Here is a look at what happened in the Service Park.

Caption contest? “It was this close”  Though no one could touch Kajan KAJETANOWICZ at the Janner Rallye as he won all the stages except for the last

Jaromir TARABUS stood in third position into the final stage but he had run out of tyres and couldn’t defend his podium position

The Messhalle was brimming with people, food, and drink as the drivers came through going into service

Stephane LEFEBVRE had a tough rally in the Citroen DS3 R5 with a few issues along the way.  He was happy though as he learns for a big 2015

Snow tyres were definitely the order of the event and Pirelli had the march

Roland BAUMSCHLAGER was the most popular driver in the paddock and dominated the Austrian part of the rally

Big crowds braved the snow – and rejoiced in it with the Janner Rallye being a proper snow rally this year

The non-snow tyres went back to the factory unused

The Parc Ferme area got packed at times but was a great chance for spectators to get close to the cars

Alexey LUKYANUK had a brilliant rally after a mechanical issue dropped him to 23rd on the first stage.  He fought back to 3rd taking the final spot on the last stage.  He also won the Colin McRae award
