Amaury Molle is gearing up for a return to the FIA European Rally Championship, only this time he’ll be armed with a Rally2-specification Škoda Fabia.

The 29-year-old was previously a Junior ERC podium finisher but has focused on events in his native Belgium in recent seasons, winning his country’s RGT title in 2023 driving an Alpine A110 on MRF Tyres. But with continued support from MRF Tyres, Molle will return to the international stage on next month’s Rally di Roma Capitale and plans to complete the remainder of the ERC season, his first campaign at Rally2 level.“Being part of the ERC again feels good,” said Molle, who will compete under the MRF Tyres Dealer Team banner alongside French co-driver Alex Dubois. “I really enjoyed my last two seasons in Europe and wanted to come back with a strong package. I’m proud to represent a major tyre manufacturer and, as last year, it will be an exciting challenge to showcase the potential of our tyres in the ERC this time.

“This has been in the works for a few months, and now it’s done. We have a concrete plan with Delta Rally to conduct necessary tests to feel comfortable in the car, which I’ve only driven once so far. There will be work to do, but we will prepare diligently to be competitive and improve our pace as the rallies progress.”

Vivek Ponnusamy, team representative, MRF Tyres, said: “We are thrilled and happy to have Amaury and Alex to be part of our dealer team and continue to run on MRF Tyres in ERC 2024. He showed lot of potential last year in the Belgium Rally Championship in RGT and now he is graduating to Rally2 which is fantastic. We always believe in helping and support young drivers who have a vision to succeed.”Vincent Cattafesta, company representative, ServiMat/ServiPools, said: “After winning the RGT title in 2023, the goal was to find solutions for a European season, and I am proud to support Amaury in this programme. This is the culmination of work that has been ongoing since 2014 to realise a sports programme at this level of motorsport. The opportunity is perfect to present our new visual identity of Servi-Mat and continue promoting Servi-Pools with our range of pools and wellness.”Co-driver Dubois said: ‘The FIA ERC is one of the most prestigious but also demanding competitions in the rally world. It is a source of pride for an enthusiast like me to be able to participate. Amaury is offering me an incredible opportunity by placing his trust in me. Indeed, it allows me to take on new challenges alongside a talented driver and an even more performant car. I want to thank everyone who supports me, my family, those I have met along the way, my past and present drivers for their valuable advice.”

Riccardo Cappato, tam manager, Delta Rally, said: “I am very happy that Amaury Molle is joining the team again. Together, we finished third in Junior ERC and ERC3. It is a pleasure to have MRF Tyres drivers in the Delta Rally team, and we will do our best to elevate the performance level.”   Molle will pilot a Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo with Rally di Roma Capitale taking place from July 26-28.
