RacerViews and MRT Performance join forces for 2012

www.racerviews.com will forge into the 2012 motorsport season with one of Australia’s most innovative motorsport teams, partnering with MRT Performance for their assault on the 2012 Bosch Australian Rally Championship.

Significantly, MRT Performance were the first team to announce their entry to the all new ECB Worlds Best Alloy Bullbars Australian SUV Rally Challenge class in the 2012 Bosch Australian Rally Championship

Brett Middleton, MRT Performance Managing Director and rally team driver is excited about the new challenge with MRT Performance and coverage with RacerViews.

Middleton is also looking forward to an exciting 2012 Championship challenge and will be counting on his years of rallying and performance car experience to succeed in the ECB Worlds Best Alloy Bullbars Australian SUV Rally Challenge.

“I am really excited by the SUV category because it will enable manufacturers to showcase one of the most popular classes of vehicle in the Australian market,” Brett said.

“ At MRT Performance we have been tuning and enhancing an increasing number of SUVs for customers over the past couple of years so I know first hand the interest and potential in rallying SUVs.”

Brett has considerable rallying experience having taken out Formula 2 class titles in Australia and competed for the Group A title in a Subaru Impreza Group A STi in the past.

The Subaru Forester Boxer diesel, has same suspension as the modern STi rally cars as the platform is the same, MCA 60 mm Suspension, Whiteline sway bars and alignemnt products, EcuteK custom factory tuned ECU, Motec dash data and logger and around 400 NM of Torque.

The Bosch Australian Rally Championship and the ECB Worlds Best Alloy Bullbars Australian SUV Rally Challenge seven round 2012 championship gets underway at Rally Calder on 1-4 March.

The seven round ARC calendar is:

  • 1st – 4th March  Rally Calder VIC
  • 31st March – 1st April Quit Forest Rally WA
  • 26th – 27th May International Rally of Queensland* QLD
  • 28th – 29th July Scouts Rally SA SA
  • 13th – 14th October Coffs Coast Forest Rally NSW
  • 16th – 17th November Rally Victoria VIC
