Another weekend, another race.  This time Sam Tickell was at the Shannons Nationals at Queensland Raceway. Here is the Radical Australia Cup gallery.  We also have the Australian Manufacturers Championship and Kerrick Sports Sedan galleries online too.

The race in brief

SIMON HAGGARTY won an unbelievable fifth round of the Radical Australia Cup at Queensland Raceway at the weekend.

The Haggarty Racing Team Radical SR3 Cup Car driver didn’t actually take the chequered flag first in any of the three races contested; however the unpredictable results and Haggarty’s consistency saw him score enough points to take an incredible round win.

“I’m a bit surprised,” He grinned on the podium.

“That race (the enduro) seemed like the race no one wanted to win, the lead kept changing so often. It’s been a great weekend and I’m really pleased with the results. It’s been great here in Queensland and the racing has been really competitive.”

The 50-minute mini-enduro on Sunday proved to be one of the most dramatic races of the 2012 season to date, a multitude of leaders having a go at taking the win.
