Like society in general, the rally world also needs a perspective.

With that in mind the RACB and the promoter of the Belgian Rally Championship present the calendar of the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship 2021.

The championship starts with a classic, the Rally of Wallonia, held from April 30 to May 2.

A total of 10 rallies are scheduled, of which the 6 best results will count towards the championship.

As everyone now realizes, 2021 will also be determined by the health crisis. The calendar of the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship will count 10 rounds in 2021, because the organizers also deserve all the support in these difficult times.

“By keeping 10 races on the calendar, we want to support the organizers and also anticipate a possible cancellation or postponement. We do want to emphasize that it does not mean a budget increase for the participants, because they can only charge the best 6 results. For the championship. Of course we realize that the participants will choose certain competitions, but this is a transition year. The aim is to present a normal calendar over the entire year again in 2022, “confirms promoter Chris Courteyn.

In order to avoid having to cancel or postpone some rounds early in the year and to give the vaccination process as much time as possible, it was decided to start the championship later. The first heat on the calendar is the Rally of Wallonia, held from April 30 to May 2. (The organizer will reserve an alternative date should the pandemic not allow for normal development.)

This is followed by the South Belgian Rally at the end of June, a new rally launched last year to save the thinned calendar. The TAC Rally moves from April to Saturday 24 July, after which from 13 to 15 August the tenors of the Kroon-Oil BRC will compete with the top drivers of the FIA World Rally Championship in the Renties Ypres Rally Belgium.

In September, the ConXioN Omloop van Vlaanderen (3-4 / 9) and the East Belgian Rally (25/9) will keep their familiar place on the calendar. The Sezoensrally, originally scheduled for spring, will be held on Saturday, October 16. The Maas gravel will be another challenge for the participants in October.

The Condroz Rally will not end the season on November 6 and 7, but spectacle and ambiance will certainly be present in Huy. The Rally van Haspengouw also promises to be a smooth challenge on Saturday 27 November, after which the Spa Rally will conclude the compact and unique season of the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship on 4 and 5 December.

A season that will undoubtedly be very exciting, intense and spectacular. Every rally fan and no doubt every rally driver is looking forward to the start of the season … on April 30, 2021.
