Just like in the Tour de France the yellow jersey already drinks a glass of champagne in the final stage towards Paris, Stéphane Lefebvre can also uncork the champagne at the start of the Condroz Rally on Saturday morning.

The Frenchman will only drive over the starting podium to officially capture his title of Champion of Belgium 2022. However, it will not detract from the excitement and spectacle in this Condroz Rally, because a high-level battle of prestige will be fought along the banks of the Meuse for two days.

In the 9th and penultimate round of the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship, Stéphane Lefebvre will already be able to secure his title on Saturday morning, but for the victory in the Condroz Rally the Citroën driver will have to give the best of himself, although the triple The winner of the competition is of course the outspoken favourite.

Adrian Fernémont, however, also wants to take a victory as the outgoing champion this season. The Skoda driver was already the only one who could challenge Lefebvre in the East Belgian Rally.

Another challenger will be Nikolay Gryazin, just like Stéphane Lefebvre a reference in WRC2. Gryazin wants to compete with the Nordist, although he has a handicap in the area of course knowledge.

Gino Bux also wants to take a shot at victory with his Skoda in the Condroz Rally. The Huy tests are also Vincent Verschueren’s favorite tests, who will start his Volkswagen Polo if the car is repaired in time.

In the subtop we can expect Maxime Potty with his Citroën C3 Rally2, just like his teammate Jos Verstappen, who is taking a shot at winning the Masters. Cédric Verhees, Richard Pex, Roger Hodenius and Emmanuel Gonny also opt for a Citroën C3 Rally2. The Skoda armada is completed by Junior Champion Charles Munster, who will make his BRC debut with a Rally2, Bastien Rouard, Xavier Bouche, Steve Zimmer, Etienne Monfort, Sébastien Incardona, Emeric Rary and Thibaud Mazuin.

John Wartique, sponsor of Gino Bux, chooses a Ford Fiesta R5 Evo, just like Nicola Stampaert. Jimmy D’hondt opts for the first generation Ford Fiesta R5.

In RGT we are especially looking forward to the days of the Porsches of Cédric Cherain and Gunther Monnens, which will be countered by Henri Schmelcher (Porsche), Steve Rousselet (Porsche) and Chris Vandamme (Alpine).

We are curious about the battle among the pioneers between the toppers of the Junior BRC and the established values Niels Reynvoet, Steve Fernandes and Johan Van den Dries. We also expect excitement and spectacle in the Clio Trophy Belgium and the Historic BRC on the 18 special stages of this Condroz Rally, good for 198 km against the clock.

The Condroz Rally starts on Saturday 5/11 on the podium in Huy at 7h00. The winner will be celebrated on the finish podium on Sunday around 4.14 pm.
