The buzz of the second day of the Africa Eco Race electrified the atmosphere as competitors tackled the formidable stretch linking Tarda to Tagounite, a thrilling 358 km course featuring a grueling 319 km selective sector. With the rugged terrain of Southern Morocco unleashing its full environment, riders faced thrilling rocky stretches and the first exhilarating dunes of this year’s race!

A Dramatic Turn for Pol Tarres!

The heart-stopping highlight of the day came with the shocking withdrawal of Pol Tarres, who faced a fierce challenge after a crash at kilometer 111. The Yamaha star was found unconscious, but swift action by teammate Guillaume Borne ensured immediate medical attention. Tarres was swiftly airlifted to safety with bruised ribs and hematomas, marking a heartbreaking end to his race but highlighting the dangers of this riveting competition.

Motorcycle Showdown: Italian Triumph!

Meanwhile, the battle on two wheels erupted, showcasing an Italian domination! Alessandro Botturi, aboard his Yamaha Ténéré 700, surged ahead to claim victory, outpacing Jacopo Cerutti and Francesco Montanari by a thrilling margin of just 3 minutes! Botturi not only tasted victory but seized the overall lead, while Guillaume Borne dazzled on his Husqvarna, rocketing to third in the overall standings.
