Discussions are underway for the regulations beyond 2026, focusing on increasing participation and securing commitments from current manufacturers. The new regulations will be presented for approval in December to provide manufacturers with ample time to adapt.

WRC Promoter Managing Director Jona Siebel said: “As the WRC Promoter this is a hugely important moment for us, as we can move forward with unity and consistency over the next two years from a technical perspective while we are investing heavily in new and exciting ways to grow the fanbase of the sport and deliver for our fans.”

Additionally, the FIA will strengthen its team to support the WRC Promoter and key stakeholders, with a focus on managing sporting regulations and reducing costs for competitors.

The final versions of the Sporting Regulations will be proposed in the October session of the WMSC.
