As the 2025 Belgian Rally Championship gears up, one name stands out amidst the thrumming engines and competitive fervor: Niels Reynvoet. With the unveiling of Lifelive Motorsport’s ambitious new campaign, Reynvoet is poised to etch his mark on the sport with an exhilarating partnership featuring the cutting-edge Hyundai i20 N Rally2.

Nestled in the picturesque town of Sankt Vith, Lifelive Motorsport’s latest announcement resonates beyond mere team composition—it marks a pivotal moment for Reynvoet, who, alongside co-driver Kris D’alleine, is embarking on a journey filled with aspirations and challenges. Having fought valiantly for the championship title until the final round of the previous season, the duo’s decision to join forces with Lifelive Motorsport signals both a fresh start and an unquenchable thirst for victory.

“The end of last season was not easy, and it was important for us to take on a new challenge in 2025,” Reynvoet reflects, embodying the resilient spirit that underpins his career. The pursuit of excellence is constant, and with Lifelive’s support, he and D’alleine are determined to rise to the occasion. “The proposal from Raphaël and Lifelive Motorsport was very attractive, and we decided to go for it. Everything will be new for us—both the car and the team—but the motivation is great.”

Reynvoet’s confidence is anchored in the stellar performance of the Hyundai i20 N Rally2, a car that has already proven its mettle on the Belgian rallying scene. “Last season demonstrated that the Hyundai is clearly competitive,” he notes, emphasizing the razor-thin margins that characterize the championship. This season, he hopes to transform the car’s potential into tangible success, as he and D’alleine set their sights on the national title amidst a crowded and formidable field.

Their journey begins on the challenging roads of the Rally van Haspengouw, set to unveil on February 22. Reynvoet is well aware that the initial stages of the championship hold great sway over the season’s outcome. “The goal with Lifelive Motorsport is to work step by step and gradually increase the pace as the season progresses,” he elaborates. This strategic mindset embodies the essence of rallying—a sport where precision, timing, and evolution are vital.

In Sankt Vith, the rallying team is not only refining its fleet of Hyundai vehicles but also fortifying its workforce. With new talent added to the roster, Lifelive Motorsport’s internal reorganization augurs well for a spirited competition in the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship. Reynvoet’s journey is complemented by seasoned partners, including Worldkarts Kortrijk and Plenion, who share his vision for success and growth.

Tom Rensonnet will also be rallying for Lifelive in 2025

But it’s not just the machinery and teamwork that excite Reynvoet; it’s the passion that fuels his ambitions. “The performance level of the various Rally2 models in the BRC is almost equal,” he remarks, hinting at the unpredictability and thrill that await both driver and team. His desire to perform well is strong, yet he acknowledges the necessity of time to adapt to the new challenges presented by the Hyundai.

Of course, there is also Tom Rensonnet, who is still expanding his programme and will make his debut in the Rally van Haspengouw on Saturday 22 February. But Lifelive Motorsport will enter a second Hyundai i20 N Rally2 in all D1 rounds of the 2025 Belgian Rally Championship, supplemented by the TAC Rally, which counts towards Division 2. The duo Niels Reynvoet – Kris D’alleine, who were still in the title fight last year until the final round in Spa, will try to make the colours of the team led by Raphaël de Borman shine.

As the season unfolds, Reynvoet stands at the intersection of youth and experience, tradition and innovation. With the collaboration of Hyundai Motorsport, he is not merely a participant in the rallying world; he represents a fresh wave of determination and enthusiasm. In a sport where every second counts and every turn holds significance, Niels Reynvoet exemplifies the spirit of rallying—a blend of heart and precision, ambition and resilience.

As the engines roar and the rallying season begins, all eyes will be on Reynvoet and D’alleine as they set forth on their quest, ready to embrace the challenges ahead and chase the glory that awaits on the competitive road ahead. The story of Niels Reynvoet is just beginning, and it promises to be an exhilarating ride.
