The TAC Rally weekend is underway in Tielt after Thursday’s shakedown on the familiar De Ratte test stage. With the session running from 17:00 to 22:00, crews used the opening miles to confirm setup, check grip, and get a first read on a route that remains central to the event’s identity.
The shakedown offered the first clear clues about form ahead of Saturday’s rally, with Rally2 crews and invited frontrunners among those getting valuable mileage before the competitive stages begin. This year’s edition also comes with a significantly refreshed route, adding another layer of uncertainty to a rally already known for its narrow margins.
For the teams, the afternoon was about precision rather than outright pace; for spectators, it was the first real taste of speed and sound before the main event. With the service park based at the Europahal and the rally proper starting on Saturday morning, Tielt now shifts from preparation mode to full rally weekend.
