We are at the opening round of the 2013 Eni World SBK Championship this weekend and we caught up with BMW’s Chaz Davies.

Hailing from Wales the BMW rider has been around the MotoGP and WSBK paddocks for the last few years.  He had a season in the 125cc Championship in 2002, followed by four years in 250cc.  He never found the sucess he deserved in the Championships and moved to the AMA Championship in 2007.  He found success in America and earnt three races with the Satelitte Ducati squad in MotoGP.

This threw him back onto the world stage with three years in the World Supersport Championship, taking the title in 2011.  The step up to WSBK with the ParkinGO MTC Aprillia saw him take 9th in the Championship.  This year he moves to the factory BMW squad.

We talk about his career, the state of racing and his hopes for 2013.
