The 2013 Spa 24 Hours was another great race, truly showing that the Blancpain Endurance Series and GT3 formula are going to be round for a long time yet.
We tried to make it this year, but living across the world made it difficult. We will try for next year!
Only my second #Spa24. Quite a few folks doing their first had their eyes opened by it. Lots more now have it on their ‘To Do’ lists, too…

You can never trust the weather at Spa
Hoping for better weather conditions than #LM24 here in #Spa24 … So far, it's almost worse… #FTUkraine pic.twitter.com/ocHrBi9kTp

Marc VDS was very fast but fragile with none of their cars making the finish

The start was spectacular. I don’t how this didn’t end badly.
How did no one hit the McLaren – would have been massive #spa24 : http://t.co/GLlPLNjaRO via @youtube

Never helps if you have suspension failure going into the fastest corner on the calendar

Or you come across a guy that misjudges the situation massively
Turns out that was a massive crash between the #16 & the #17. Not entirely sure what Ide was thinking or if he was thinking at all. #Spa24H

But it wasn’t all bad. Night racing brings something special

The times were quick and it wasn’t hard to tell who are the ace pilots
Stefan Mücke is the next to get into the 39s on sector 1. #Spa24H
— dscracelive (@dscracelive) July 28, 2013
Bernd Schneider as well now…it's getting faster here at Spa. #Spa24H
— dscracelive (@dscracelive) July 28, 2013
In the end it was Mercedes who won. Add the Bathurst 12 Hours to this list and you realise how good of a year Bernd Schneider and the Mercedes SLS GT3 are having
Bernd Schneider won both the 24H of Spa and the Nürburgring this year. Will he have enough room on his CV left to cram that stat in? #Spa24
— Girl Talks Racing (@girltalksracing) July 28, 2013
Congrats to Bernd Schneider and the whole HTP Motorsport team on winning the #spa24! Bernd is 49 years… http://t.co/RWsbkNC4A8
— Kol Bailey (@Kol_Bailey) July 28, 2013
It was also a great effort from Toni Vilander, Matt Griffin and co to take a class win. Of course Griffin lit Bathurst on fire with a great second earlier this year
Nice job @MGriffinRacing and @toni_vilander and co for GT AM win at Spa24. Never doubted it!

Nothing to add
Emotional podium at #Spa24 dedicated to my uncle Carlos, who left us this week and to all the victims… http://t.co/bDuXyL7fSC
