With the finale of the ECB Australian Rally Championship next weekend, we bring you this interview with our regular rally guest, Brett Middleton.

We recorded this interview a few weeks ago and in this interview we discuss Middleton’s run at Coats Hire Rally Australia, where the MRT Performance Subaru Forester was strong but a mechanical issue on the longest stage of the rally ensured that a top result was not on the cards.  He ended up 12th in the 4WD category, some 23 minutes down, most of which was lost on the 50km Nambucca stage.

Brett also discusses his plans for next year as the 2014 Championship calendar has been announced (see below).  But before the final round of the 2013 season, Middleton was busy rallying in other events.

This interview was a candid insight to the world of rallying and the choices that have to be made by rally drivers and racers in this country.

Going into the final round, Middleton lies 7th in the 4WD Championship and has wrapt up the SUV Championship.
