2014 was a great year for Ben Gersekowski – taking his first Australian F3 win, round win and finishing second in the Championship.

Ben upgraded his Gilmour Dallara to the F311 model at the start of the year and immediately took the fight to BRM’s Simon Hodge.  It would be a year long, wheel to wheel battle with Simon with the duo going head to head at every round.

Hodge would get the best of it in the end, taking the Championship and the Gold Star but Ben showed his talent which has opened doors for him and made him more than a local celebrity in his home town of Cecil Plains, not far outside of Toowoomba.

His success has got the attention of the MARC cars team who have snapped him up for one of their Focuses in the 2015 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hours.  Alongside that he will take his racing international, and will try to ply his trade in the USA.

One handy thing – he (almost) shares a home town to Indycar Champ, Will Power.

2015 will be an adventure for Ben, one that will open doors for his career.

In this interview we talk about 2014, his 2015 plans and more.

The MARC Ford Focuses have been plying their trade in the 24H Series after a successful Bathrust 12 Hours in 2014.  Ben Gersekowski will be racing with the team at Bathurst in 2015.
