The no5 Ginetta G60-AER was the fastest car in the first practice session of the 8 Hours of Bahrain weekend, Round 4 of the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship.

In the second and final Free Practice session of Day 1 at the Bahrain International Circuit the no1 Rebellion Racing R13 claimed the top spot with Bruno Senna setting fastest lap of the day with a 1m42.471s lap of the 5.4km track.
Senna’s time was 1.4s faster than the FP1 leading no5 Team LNT Ginetta, in which Charlie Robertson took second place in this evening’s 90-minute session. Toyota-Gazoo Racing finished third and fourth once again as no7 Toyota TS 050 HYBRID leads no8 sister car
In the LMGTE Pro class Aston Martin led the way with no97 Aston Martin Racing of Alex Lynn setting a best time of 1m55.696s to lead sister Aston Martin of Nicki Thiim and Marco Sorensen by 0.5s. Reigning champions Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre took third in the no92 Porsche 911 RSR, while James Calado stopped on track in dying moments with the no51 AF Corse Ferrari with an apparent technical problem.
LMP2 saw the no37 Jackie Chan Racing Oreca set the pace as early session time by Will Stevens of 1m43.882s proved to be the fastest of the session. Stevens’ time was 0.5s quicker than Jean-Eric Vergne’s time in the no26 G-Drive Racing Aurus 01. Third was the High Class Racing entry driven by Kenta Yamashita, Anders Fjordbach and Mark Patterson.
LMGTE Am saw Matteo Cairoli set the fastest time in the Team Project 1 Porsche 911 RSR with a best lap of 1m56.510s. The Italian driver headed the no88 Dempsey-Proton Porsche by 0.7s. Title leading TF Sport Aston Martin driven by Charlie Eastwood, Johnny Adam and Salih Yoluc places third.
