Newly formed outfit Full Send Racing will make its debut in the 2026 British GT4 Championship, fielding a pair of Aston Martin Vantage machines.
Leading the team’s charge is Aston Martin’s longest-serving works driver, Darren Turner, who returns to British GT and the GT4 class for the first time since narrowly missing out on the overall drivers’ crown in 2022. A multiple Le Mans class winner, 2026 will mark Turner’s 22nd season at the sharp end of Aston Martin Racing programmes, spanning LMP1, GTE, GT3 and GT4 competition.
“It’s always special to be involved from the ground up,” Turner said. “Watching Full Send Racing take shape and already operate at such a high level has been hugely encouraging. All the right building blocks are clearly being put in place.
“My last British GT campaign came in GT4, where I was fortunate to secure back-to-back Pro-Am titles in 2021 and 2022. This time, the objective is to fight for the overall GT4 championship, and I genuinely believe that’s achievable with FSR.
“It certainly won’t be easy. Neither the team nor Dan has competed at this level before, and British GT is one of the most competitive championships out there. But based on our recent testing, I’m confident we’ve got the potential to be right in the mix.”
Turner will partner team director Daniel Lavery in the first of two Grange Racing by FSR entries. Lavery’s developing racing résumé includes two full seasons in national BMW one-make championships, along with several Masters appearances in a Ginetta G55 GT4.
“What started as a bit of fun between friends has quickly evolved into something very serious,” Lavery explained. “I grew up watching British GT and seeing Darren compete, so to now share a car with him is a real honour.
“Stepping up to this level and measuring ourselves against the rest of the grid, both as drivers and as a team, is incredibly exciting. With Elliott’s leadership and more than 50 years of combined experience between him and Darren, I think we can surprise a few people next season. The focus now is on continuing to improve and being fully prepared for the opener at Silverstone.”
Lavery is coached by team owner and principal Elliott Cole, whose own racing career included several British GT starts with Eclipse Motorsport in a Mosler during the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
“It’s fantastic to officially confirm our first British GT entry for 2026,” Cole said. “The whole team has worked tirelessly to make this happen, and we’re incredibly excited to line up on the grid.
“I’m immensely proud of our Pro-Am line-up. Having someone of Darren’s calibre — with decades of experience and success at the highest level — is a huge asset, and we’re thrilled to benefit from the expertise he brings.
“I’ve been coaching Dan since before he even held a race licence, so seeing his journey come full circle with a British GT debut is incredibly rewarding. As a former British GT competitor myself, returning to the championship as a team owner and principal is a real honour. I can’t wait to get started at Media Day in March.”
Based in Rockingham, Full Send Racing will announce its second driver pairing in due course. The team is backed by luxury car dealership Grange Motors and used car specialist Cinch.
The official Media Day — free for fans to attend — takes place on March 31, before teams return to Silverstone for the three-hour season opener on April 25–26.
