Round 16 of the 18 round 2011 MotoGP Championship is taking place at Phillip Island this weekend.  Racer View’s Sam Tickell is on the Island to catch all the action.

The MotoGP Championship could be taken by local hero, Casey Stoner put his Repsol Honda on pole putting him in the ideal spot for his 5th consecutive Phillip Island win and his 2nd MotoGP title.  In Moto2 Stefan Bradl is in a good spot in the title chase after Marc Marquez was sent to the back for dangerous riding.
