We catch up with Steel Guiliana after a tough weekend in the Australian Formula 3 Championship at Darwin.  This weekend, he hopes to bounce back at Sydney Motorsports Park.

Guiliana’s R-Tek Motorsport Dallara was badly damaged in a race one, turn one crash at Hidden Valley that saw the New South Wales’ drivers’ car launched off another car and into tyre bundles on the inside of the circuit at over 160km/hr.

The impact tore three ‘corners’ from the Dallara chassis and ruled the title contender out of the remainder of the weekend – though he was able to walk away from the crash thank to the incredible safety of the current-specification F3 chassis.  For the upcoming weekend, he is jumping into a BRM prepared machine as he attempts to keep his Championship alive.

The Australian F3 Championship will take place over seven rounds in 2013.
