Motorcycle racing was at high point in 2000 with massive grids and great machines and tracks that had not be destroyed by the want of the F1 world.

The German WSBK Grand Prix was held at the Hockenheimring in 2000 to massive crowds and massive grids.  Name riders for the year included Colin Edwards – who took out his maiden WSBK Championship that year, Nori Haga, Tory Corser and Troy Bayliss.  The grid also had competitive machinery from Honda, Ducati, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki and Aprilia.  In fact a mere 120 points covered the six manufacturers over the year’s constructors Championship with each manufacturer taking multiple victories in the season.  Even Bimota who had a partial season took a win in the ultra competitive title.

29 riders took part in the races at Hockenheim.  Below we have the complete race 1 and a highlights package of race 2.  Both are great watches.  If you can’t wait to see the results, you can check them out here.
