Major enduros on the cards for James Winslow

Share

James Winslow has confirmed to RacerViews that he is planning on returning to at least two major endurance races in 2015.

It includes the pinnacle of sportscar racing – the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

After a successful outing this year with Greaves where he set quick lap times, he is back next year.  While he was tight lipped on who he would be back with, he did confirm that it would be with a top LMP2 team.

Winslow was back racing in F3 again over the weekend at Queensland Raceway in a last minute deal to race an R-Tek Dallara.  His weekend was full of problems, missing all of Friday, having brake issues and fall foul of restart rules. Needless to say, he didn’t add to his tally of 85 F3 wins.

But he does plan on staying on to race in Australia and his 2015 plans could take on more than just Le Mans with a return to the Mountain for the Bathurst 12 Hours.

He last competed with Peter Conroy’s Audi in 2013 with the car taking a top 10 alongside drivers Rob Huff and Peter Conroy.

It is all part of a plan to reach the top of LMP1 and an outright win at Le Mans. He might make additional appearances in LMP2 in the Asian Le Mans Series and the European Le Mans Series this year in preparation for his 2015 tilt.
