Phillip Backlund

“I’m really happy to be joining the Quattro Plant Cool Kawasaki team for 2016. I have known Pete and them team since my first year in England in 2013 and I have always thought that they do a great job in terms of results and also how they work together with their riders so I’m really excited. I am also looking forward to when we can start testing the new 2016 Kawasaki ZX10-R as it seems just by looking at the recent tests from the World Superbike and GBmoto teams that it’s a very strong package and has some good improvements.

“After my first full season in BSB last year and also on Kawasaki machinery it feels good to stay with the same manufacturer. I have now ridden Kawasaki machinery since 2012 with a short appearance with Yamaha at the end of 2014. I really like the Kawasaki and I have adjusted my riding style to suit that. There are a few areas that I will work together with my Quattro Plant Cool Kawasaki crew I have around me to make me feel more comfortable but I’m sure we will have everything in place ahead of the first round at Silverstone.

Broc Parkes

“Well that’s Brands Hatch done and dusted, its been a bit of a mixed day really. I struggled a bit on the front in both races, I just didn’t seem to have the confidence through the corners to brake how I wanted to and the results weren’t as high as I was expecting. In the second race I had good pace towards the end of the race and it was enough but I didn’t have the pace at the start of the race. I started to catch a few guys to the end and made a few positions up. We learned a lot this weekend from both sides of the box, some ideas for the next race and I think those can help me a lot. I’ve got Suzuka now, I go to Japan and do the Suzuka 8 hours and then we’re back to Thruxton, it’s a new circuit for me but a lot of people say I should like it, its big, open and fast so I’m looking forward to that. Hopefully with some new ideas and some new parts I can make that next step and start battling for that top 5 where I want to be.”

“Just so everyone knows I have had no problem with arm pump since my operation just after flight from Japan after Suzuka 8-hour I have some swelling in left arm. My arm just needs some time to recover and I will be straight back as soon as possible and look forward to the next round at Cadwell Park.”

Lee Jackson

“I’m really happy to be staying with Buildbase BMW next year. We’ve got a great team here with an awesome package with the BMW S1000RR. We’ve had a good year, but as a rider I’m always looking for better results and I feel that next year, with a season under my belt, we can push on further towards the top six!”
