Vattana’s  driver pairing of Andrea Gagliardini and Jacopo Guidetti have won round 2 after leading from lights to flag, facing what seemed little competition after the compulsory pit window opened. The pair driving the teams Honda NSX, got the initial jump from the rolling start after starting off the front row, gradually pulling up to a four second lead before the pitstops started, Sandy Stuvik in the B-Quik Audi was the only challenger in the early stages of the race, pitting from second and eventually finishing 15th after having issues mid race.

There was only one disruption to the race, a safety car caused by an incident with the number 26 B-Quik Audi making contact with the number 19 Lexus at 10 minute mark of the one hour and five minute race. As the green flag was shown after the safety car, Jacopo Guidetti in the Vattana Honda NSX was able to extend his lead and pull away from Stuvik.

Yesterdays winners Chonsawat Asavahame and Pisanu Sirimongkolkasem in the 28 Vattana Huracan GT3 moved its way in to second place late in the race, with Piti Bhirombhakdi in his Lexus RCF GT3 putting the pressure on in the late stages, Piti Bhirombhakdi eventually couldn’t get past the Huracan, instead settling for third place finish after a DNF in yesterdays round 1.

With the completion of the weekend at Bangsaen, the Thailand Super Series now heads to the Chang International Circuit in Buriram on the weekend of 25-28 August, what that weekend has in store, we can only imagine after a fantastic weekend full of action at round one and two.
