With the 2013 Australian Formula 3 Championship set to kick of at Bathurst next weekend, we caught up with one of the title contenders.  Ben Gersekowski will be racing for the squad that won the 2011 Championship – Gilmour Racing in a Dallara F307.

Gersekowski will be stepping up from the National Class to the Outright class after a strong 2011 season, which saw him finish second in the National Class, even after a crash at Adelaide set his campaign back.  He also steps up from a Dallara F304 to a Dallara F307, a car that has much more downforce.

He will have his work cut out for him in 2013 as he will face the 2012 Champion – James Winslow, young gun, Nick Foster and Steel Guiliana.

The Australian F3 Championship will take place over seven rounds in 2013.
