The Asia Pacific Rally Championship and the Australian Rally Championship are in action this weekend at the International Rally of Queensland. Reigning ERC Champion, Jan Kopecky is in action with the MRF Skoda outfit.
Rallying an S2000 Skoda Fabia, the Czech driver has been showing his class so far this year, taking out the New Caladonia Rally and is equal on points with teammate Gurav Gill. Gill is the reigning Champion in the APRC.
Kopecky on the other hand has had enormous success in the Czech Rally Championship and after several successful years in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge took the ERC with six wins and two podiums. Kopecky also rallied in the WRC mostly in a privately run Skoda Fabia WRC, achieving fifth places in Spain in 2006 and Germany in 2007.
