The Murphys Creek local is running car 33 – the bright yellow Suzuki Baleno.  He will be competing against the region’s best drivers in the Asia Pacific Rally Championship and Australian Rally Championship.

He is a part of the ARC2 competition – a new for 2017 prize that sees the top three drivers – in this case the two wheel drive class gain free entry into the WRC Rally Australia.

“It is a great prize to go for. We have put a lot of effort into the car and I can’t wait to get on stage,” Nat said.

“We are running in the two wheel drive class with direct competition against the likes of Lewis Bates.”

The drivers will tackle 14 stages across the weekend with eight stages taking place on Saturday and six stages on Sunday.

In total there is 232.4 competitive kilometres.

“The roads look great, the Saturday roads look very smooth and fast with Sunday being a bit rougher, but it looks like it will be a lot of fun.

“The car went well in Shakedown and we can’t wait to get started.”
