This was to be expected given the evolution of the health crisis: the Namur Automobile Club, organizer of the Rallye de Wallonie, must fall back on the second option considered at the beginning of this year, namely postponing its event to the weekend of 8-10 October.

Given the new sanitary measures taken by the federal government, Etienne Lerson, ACN President, said the decision was inevitable. would be kept. This decision was of course taken in consultation with the promoter of the championship and the RACB. ”

And the choice of the date October 8-10 is the only option.

“We had to take into account the data from the other BRC and ASAF rallies, because there is a saturation of events in the second part of the season, the wishes of the promoter and the RACB but also the other events that are taking place in the region. and this date was the only option. We know it is only one week before the Sezoens Rally and we are sorry. We discussed this with the organizers of Sezoens to find a solution, but in the end this date was the only option.

The Namur Automobile Club would like to thank all the authorities, the police and all the club volunteers who are committed to making the event possible. Meet the second weekend of October for a more concentrated rally than usual, but still with the Citadelle’s inevitable rendezvous.
