Brandon Demmery battles with Luke Burgess during the 250cc races at Queensland Raceway

In our continuing coverage of the QBE Australian Superbike Championship race at Queensland Raceway, we catch up with young gun, Brandon Demmery of CM Racing.

Demmery has stepped up to the 250cc class after successfully racing in the 125/Moto3 class last year.  He has adapted very well to the bikes, immediately racing a the front  in this class.

He was racing head to head with defending champion Luke Burgess.  The two were swapping the lead at almost every opportunity in what was a thrilling game of high speed chess.

The 250 class had three races over the weekend, with Demmery taking the first race comfortably – after his main rival, Burgess was delayed.  The second race was close with Burgess taking the win by 0.2 of a second.  The third through went back in the favour of Demmery who took the win by just 0.1 of a second.
