Jon Collins accepting his F3 National Class trophy at Queensland Raceway
We caught up with Jon Collins from the Australian Formula 3 Championship after the round at Queensland Raceway.
Jon made his debut in the Championship in 2012 and is running a full season for the first time in 2013. He is also racing alongside his mother in the Radical Championship – the first mother and son team to do so.
In the Formula 3 Championship, he sits third in the National Class standings in his R-Tek Dallara. The National Class use older model Dallaras than the outright class.
He would take a podium and two wins in his class at Queensland Raceway, his best results in the class to date. He would fight Arrie Marie and Todd Hazlewood hard in all three races. The racing was hard but clean, allowing him to win both of the Sunday races.
